Root cause analysis goes beyond apparent symptoms to identify the real cause of a problem. Root Cause Analysis and Five Whys analysis go hand in hand. Five Whys is one popular and effective tool often used to drill down to the real cause of a problem. Simple, right? By repeatedly asking the question "Why?", you find the root cause of a problem and show relationships of multiple causes. But how far should you go?
