Maggie Thompson

Maggie Thompson is an industrial-organizational psychologist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln who is passionate about workforce issues in child welfare such as burnout/stress, caseload/workload, work-life balance, organizational culture and climate, recruitment and selection, and issues around diversity/inclusion. She believes that a happy workforce is a productive workforce and she seeks to explore ways to improve the retention rates among child welfare workers. Maggie graduated with Distinction and Honors from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in psychology where she won several awards for her innovative research. She also holds a Master’s degree in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
