QIC-WD in Louisville: Inspired by Each Other and Muhammad Ali

The QIC-WD met at the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky in April 2018. Representatives from all eight sites attended and had an opportunity to share experiences and discuss the QIC-WD process. Inspired by our mission and each other, we left the meeting with the following quotes and messages to guide our work:

• Beware of correlations – look for root causes and dig deep
• Linking [workforce] retention and child and family outcomes may be a challenge. I will not count the days, I will make every day count!
• “Service to others is the rent you pay for your time here on earth.” – Muhammad Ali
• Make/take time for all stages – do not rush
• Vision is great, but without action it will never occur
• “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.” – Muhammad Ali
