Robert D. Blagg

Robert D. Blagg, Ph.D., manages the UCLA research group dedicated to empowering the QIC-WD and its sites to make timely and informed decisions through data analyses and visualization. He has more than twelve years of experience in applied policy research and evaluation. As a Research Scientist in the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, and Director of Evaluation for the University Consortium for Children and Families (UCCF), Dr. Blagg directs evaluation of the process, quality, and impact of workforce development strategies in human service systems. Previous work in the area of social welfare includes: co-investigator for an evaluation of Los Angeles County Resource Family Recruitment; project director for two statewide evaluations of the impact of the Mental Health Services Act on California’s community-based mental health system, consumers, and their families; Field Study Director for the U.S. Department of Education (Office of Planning, Evaluation, and Policy Development) supported national study of state bullying laws and policies; and senior analyst for the national evaluation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Consumer Response Services Center (CDC-INFO) and a National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) supported evaluation of the HIV/AIDS Resource Environment in Los Angeles.
