Developing a Theory of Change: it is easier than you think!

The QIC-WD sites are developing a theory of change as part of their needs assessment. The theory of change follows a thoughtful root cause analysis and captures the ultimate goal of the project and lays out the logic on how that goal will be achieved. The following video provides a general overview of the process and provides an example. It is not specific to the QIC-WD or even child welfare, but it demonstrates the overall “if, then” approach to developing a theory of change.
