Nebraska: Addressing Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS)

This short presentation discusses how the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services will address STS among child welfare workers and supervisors. The presenter describes the two-part intervention and the lack of rigorous evaluation of programs designed to help child welfare workers better manage STS. This intervention is intended to increase worker retention by improving their resiliency and ability to manage job-related traumatic stress.
