Coping in the Time of COVID: Interpreting the research to help the child welfare workforce build an understanding of pandemics, learn how to cope with stress and develop strategies to manage your personal life
The Quality Improvement Center for Workforce Development (QIC-WD) works with public child welfare agencies to build knowledge to strengthen the child welfare workforce. At no time in recent history have child welfare professionals needed more support and more information than during this current pandemic. Recently, QIC-WD team members conducted a national webinar, Coping in the Time of COVID: Evidence-Informed Strategies to Support YOU & the Child Welfare Workforce, to break down the research on pandemics and coping strategies into useful tips for frontline workers, supervisors, managers, parents, and child welfare administrators who want to support themselves and the workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic. This series of three blog posts includes:

Anita P. Barbee, Ph.D., MSSW
Managing Stress while Working from Home during the Pandemic: Strategies for Self-Care
Andrew Winters, Ph.D.,MSW
Each blog post links to a 20-minute excerpt from the webinar with our experts in the fields of marriage and family therapy and social work.
