Mobile Solution Roll Out Update (November 2019)

Virginia’s mobile solution, COMPASS, allows case carrying child welfare workers and supervisors (known as family service specialists) to capture and manage case notes from the field. The application is installed on an iPad and staff are participating in labs to learn about this innovative tool. The mobile solution, along with transcription services, are designed to alleviate some of the strain of administrative tasks performed by family service specialists. This video update was created in November 2019 to summarize progress on the roll out of the mobile solution across local departments of social services in Virginia.
